Five Months

I can't believe that Jonah is five months already. This past month has gone by so fast. He has really been trying to roll over alot lately. Joe says that he did it a couple of times the other day but he hasn't been able to get over his arm since then. The other night I was on the computer and I looked down and this is what I saw:


He was trying to roll over and ended up getting himself stuck. It was to funny. He was just laying there like, HELP PLEASE!!!

I got this for Jonah the other day and it is to cute so I had to share it. I did have to change the ribbon on it to match his bedroom.


So I think everyone knows that I have an obsession with purses, well here is my new one:



It's so cute. I have been banned from buying anymore Coach purses but I think I like this one better anyways because it has tons of pockets inside so I don't have to dig and dig for my keys, cell phone, or lip gloss. It ROCKS!!! Joe doesn't like it though, he thinks that it is to big!!

Little Jumper

Well Jonah is FINALLY not screaming the entire time we give him a bath. We figured out that he likes the water a little warmer then we were getting it. This doesn't mean he likes it but he doesn't scream the whole time. He sits very stiff and doesn't like to put his arms in the water, which I guess is good because then he does't splash all over me.


He is also trying to roll over. He has made it a few times but this is about as far as he gets most of the time before he gets stuck:

He's starting to enjoy his christmas presents. When he gets going in this jumper he looks like Lord of the Dance. It cracks me up. Here is a video of him just jumping. I tryed to get a better one but it was close to his bed time so he was getting tired and would only jump for a few seconds. Usually he just keeps going and gets pretty high.

I put a link on the side of the page for Joe's new business venture so if any of your husbands are in to guns and stuff they might be interested. He designs brakes for shotguns and rifles which help with improving accuracy, recoil, and stuff. I am not the best at explaining it but if anyone is interested check it out.

News

I haven't told you guys how awesome of a sleeper this little guy is turning in to. He has been consistently sleeping through the night for the past two months. YEA!!! He wakes up between 5 and 6 to take a bottle (I still consider this sleeping through the night) and then goes back to sleep and usually wakes up around 9am. He had a late night last night and slept until 7 this morning we feed him and played with him in our bed until about 8:30 and then he went back to sleep until 11:00. How awesome is that, to bad I had to get up at 9 for work, but Joe got some extra sleep.


I promise we do feed him, he just wants to taste all of his toys:


I got some exciting news this afternoon, my cousin Jennifer who is living in Hawaii called me this afternoon and she is going to come and stay with me and Joe in a couple weeks until June. I can't wait. We have been so close since we were babies but she hasn't lived near me since her family moved to Germany when I was in first grade and she was in kindergarten. So I am so excited to have her here with us even if the reason she is coming sucks. Oh and if anyone knows someone going to Iraq anytime soon let me know because I have someones butt for them to kick for me.

So on Friday I was at work reading the newspaper (yes I was reading the newspaper at work, I have a lot of down time) and there was a story in there about abortion and how there has been over 50 million abortions in the US since 1973. That number just horrified me. That is so crazy, I know that alot of people get abortions but I never really thought of how many. I am not really sure what I want to say about that, I just wanted to throw that number out there for you guys. I am so sad for all those babys that had no choice. It makes me want to cry!

I HATE MY BED

I did this at like two in the morning and its not the first time this has happened. I already have a scar on the back of my leg from it and I also almost lost a toe nail once. It's not broken or anything it just sucks, there is a board the runs from the foot board to the head board and I always hit it when I get out of bed!!!


My poor baby has been sick all week doesn't he look so pathetic at three in the morning. He has also been very fascinated with his hands lately, they are constantly in his mouth which is a pain when we are trying to feed him.

Parrot

So Jonah has been VERY vocal lately, and the other night he was really going at it for over an hour so I broke out the video camera and got a little bit of it on tape. Sorry it is so dark and try not to notice how retarded I sound.

Fog

So yesterday started out great. When I looked out my window this is what I saw:

I love foggy days as much as I love rainy days. So it was great to wake up to this.



Unfortunately we had to take Jonah to the doctor's for his four month check up and shots. He did really good when they gave him his shots, he only cried a little. He weighs 19 pounds 5 ounces and is 28 1/4 inches long and is above the 95 percentile for his age. He was pretty good all day until about 8:30 when he started feeling pretty warm. He ended up with a fever of 103.1. I felt so bad for him, he didn't want to eat anything and the only place he would sleep all night was on me and if I moved him he would just wake up and scream. It really sucked because I had to work today andI think it was finally 4:00am when his fever finally broke and he feel in to a deep sleep so that I could lay him down in our bed and sleep next to him.



He is feeling a little better today just a little whiney. I hate those shots!!!!

Toys

Well not much has been going on this past week. New Years eve was slightly uneventful since Joe and I were so tired we ended up going to dinner with my parents and then went over to his parents to hang out for a little while. Jonah fell asleep over there so we took him to my grandmas and Joe looked at me and said you know every minute we stay up is a minute closer to Jonah waking up, so we went to bed at like 11:00pm. Pretty sorry New Years Eve, but luckily we went to bed since the little squirt woke up at 5:00am and never wanted to go back to sleep. Anyway here are pictures of Jonah in some of his new toys from Christmas.



As you can tell he isn't to sure about them yet but I am sure he will get alot of enjoyment from them in the next few months.
