Work

This kid is freaking hilarious! I can't even believe some of the things he comes up with. Yesterday we were hanging out with my friend Jenn and I said something about not wanting to go to work tomorrow. Jonah was sitting on the floor and turned to us and said he didn't want to go to work tomorrow either. Jenn and I started laughing and I asked him what his job was and he told me he works with his daddy fixing guns!!! Cracked me up! Also yesterday he was crying because he didn't want to go in to his sunday school class so I told him he had to come sit in church with me. Well he sat in there and listened to the worship music and when the pastor started praying before the service Jonah told me that he was done and wanted to go to his class. Well before bed last night I asked what his favorite part of the day was. He told me that it was listening to the ladies and man on stage singing in to the microphones. So cute. He loves music so much!

Funny Boy

So I decided I need to start writing down the funny things this kid comes up with. He seriously says things sometimes that that leave us saying What The....

*The other day Jonah was sitting on my computer watching train videos and Joe was working on his computer and Jonah randomly turned around and said "Daddy, you need to take a shower! Your butt stinks!"

*Today we were at my grandma's house and she was bending over looking at something on her coffee table and Jonah walked in back of her and said "Grandma, maybe your butt stinks!"

I don't know what his deal is with stinky butts lately.

*Also today while at my grandma's house she kept saying the s word (stupid) and he looked at her and said "Grandma, we no say that WORD! We say smart!!!" Haha, I was dying! A few months ago he kept saying stupid all the time and I wasn't sure where he heard it(apparently it was from his Grandma Dot). He would say the cars stupid, my sandwich is stupid, Beka's stupid, mommy stupid, etc. So when he would say it we would tell him that it was smart. Now anytime he hears stupid he corrects whoever said it and tells them it is smart.

*Last week Joe took Jonah to Golden Corral for lunch and since he is still three he eats for free. Well the lady at the checkout ask Joe how old Jonah was and when Joe told her he was three Jonah yelled "No, I am four!" Lol, Joe was so embarrassed thinking this lady thought he was lying to her. He told her he promised Jonah was really three and Jonah again said "No daddy I am Four!" I am sure Joe wished he had just paid for Jonah to save himself the embarrassment. It doesn't help that he is so big he is out growing his 5T clothes, so he really doesn't look like he is three. Today Jonah kept telling everyone he was ten, it is always something different but he will never say he is three.

Well I know there are way more but my mind is blank right now. I guess I really do need to start writing them down more often.

Some other funny things about Jonah:

*He loves, and I mean loves for us to scare him. Sometimes I will sneak up behind him and scare him so bad I think he is going to start crying but then he just starts laughing hysterically and then begs for us to scare him again.

*He also thinks his farts (or farks as he calls them) are the funniest thing ever and likes to announce when ever he does one.

*He likes us to smell his feet and then tell him they smell disgusting.

He is such a boy!!!

Ok I have been such a horrible blogger lately but hopefully soon that will change!

In April we are moving to Nashville! I am so excited for this new adventure and hopefully we will have tons to share about our new town!

We are for sure going to miss being close to all of our family and friends but hopefully everyone will come visit us! Consider this your invitation for free room and board!

Christmas (A Little Late)

Before I get started on Christmas I just had to put this picture up because this little monkey won't smile for pictures anymore. I caught this one the other day and he is soooo cute!

The weekend before Christmas Jonah and I headed over to San Diego to spend sometime with his grandma and grandpa. Of course we had to take him on a train ride! Then we got off the train and took the bus back to Oceanside. Let me tell you that took FOREVER! I think I had enough public transportation to last me another year! But the monkey was VERY happy!

When we got off the bus it was pouring and very cold so we put grandma's jacket on him. That night I headed over to my Aunt's house because my great great Uncle died and my Great grandparents were down from Fresno. It was nice to surprise them but a bummer it was under those circumstances.

The next day Jonah "helped" grandma make some Christmas cookies. When they were done he probably took one bite out of half the cookies. He wouldn't finish them, just take one bite and moved on to the next cookie! Little turkey!

On Christmas Eve it is tradition in my family to open one present before bed!

He got these cute Christmas PJ's! After he opened them we took a drive to look at Christmas lights before bed.

This is what most pictures look like these days! He is always running from the camera.

Santa told me that he really likes cupcakes so that's what he got instead of cookies at our house.

See he really liked them!

Of course like every daddy on Christmas Eve Joe had to put together toys. We both sat there and tried to make a ball in and neither of us did. On Christmas morning Joe missed the net and I picked up the ball all the way across the room and sitting down and I made it! Haha, it will NEVER happen again. I am so horrible at basketball.

Most of these were for Jonah of course! And he still had more after grandma and grandpa got here and then more at his great grandma's, my parents and his Auntie's houses! He was SOOOO spoiled!!!

Opening his stocking before breakfast. In our family we have to wait to open presents until after we eat breakfast and after the breakfast dishes are done! We like to torture the kids, lol!

He was such a butt about opening his gifts, once he opened one he just wanted to play with it. We had to try and distract him to get him to open the next one.

He loved his basketball hoop! With his size we had to get him started early!

I told my mom and grandma to get Jonah toys to keep at their houses because he has more then enough at home. My mom got him and Kayden this cute little train table to share. He has one at home and it keeps him occupied for the longest time, so it is perfect for over there.

We had a great Christmas this year and were very blessed to be able to spend time with both sides of the family! Hope you all had a Merry Christmas as well!!

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving this year! We had dinner with mine and Joe's families together. I love that we all get along, it makes it so much easier for us so we don't have to limit our time with one family. These three pictures are the only ones I got of Thanksgiving:

Jonah "helping" mommy the night before!

Jonah, Aidan, and Syrena eating at the little kids table.

Kayden being a cutie and not letting mommy and daddy eat, lol!

Santa Pictures

I took Jonah to visit Santa early this year so that I didn't have to wait three hours for him to get his pictures done. He did so good, we were a little worried at first because he wasn't wanting to sit down with Santa. Santa had to tickle him to get him to smile but at least he didn't cry! We told Santa we would leave him some cupcakes this year since mommy doesn't make the greatest cookies!

Christmas Cards

This year while looking around for Christmas Cards I decided to check out Shutterfly.

They have some really cute designs and they were a little cheaper then the other websites I have checked out. I am really bad at making these kinds of decisions so it has been a little tough choosing from all their different cards.

I also really like their photo calenders for my office and Joe's office and maybe for some of the grandparents.

Last year for both my parents and Joe's parents I ordered their photo books for Christmas. They came out so awesome and they were a huge hit! Everytime we go to my parents house Jonah grabs the "Jonah book" off the shelf to look through the pictures. They have lots of book designs and page designs you can choose from. It is really the perfect gift to grandparents.

So before you order your cards and other Christmas gifts make sure you check out shutterfly first!
