Happy Birthday Rachael

My little sister is turning 19 today. I can't believe she is getting so old. I remember the day she was born I was already mad that we were going to have four kids in our family because in Cali no one had four kids. Little did I know that in less then a year we would be moving to Az where this was completely normal :). That morning when I woke up that morning my grandma told me that my mom was in the hospital having the baby, I got so mad because that night was parents night at school and this meant that my parents wouldn't be there (remember that I was only eight and most eight year olds are just a little selfish). It took me a little while to warm up to Rach but she was just so dang cute with her blond hair and big blue eyes that you couldn't help but love her. Anyways I love you Rach hope you have a good day.

Seven Months

Today Jonah is seven months. It has not been a very good day since the little punk hardly slept last night and has not really taken a good nap today and is very fussy and clingy. The clingy part doesn't bother me very much but he does have a 101.3 temp. Maybe he is finally teething (oh fun). I tried to get some cute pictures of him today but he really wasn't cooperating but I will share them with you anyway.

His creepy baby smile! At least its a smile, right.

Mom, leave me alone will you. Aghh you are so annoying. :)

Looking at the painting over the couch which he has been obsessed with since he was born. Maybe I should hang it over his bed so that he will want to stay in it all night.

I want to taste the camera.

I don't even know what to say about this one but it is funny and has made me laugh multiple times to day (which I really needed).

Stop with the pictures already.

He doesn't go in to the doctors until the 7th but the kid is so heavy it is getting hard to carry him anywhere for any length of time. This month he has three doctor's appointments. The first is on the second he has to go to the urologist (SP?) to get his man parts checked. The on the seventh is his check up and on the 14th he goes in for his CT Scan. Wish us luck and keep him in your prayers. I really don't think there is anything wrong with his head, he is just an all around big boy and his head fits his body. I am so ready to find a new doctor for him.

Happy Easter

I hope everyone had a great Easter. We had a very busy day which started VERY early thanks to some cute little munchkin. Maybe he knew all the fun stuff he was going to get to do all day and was to excited to sleep. After we got ready to go to church we gave Jonah his Easter basket and his grandparents gave him a cute bunny. After church we went with my family for lunch and an Easter egg hunt. The lack of sleep finally caught up with Jonah so he had to nap while all the other kids hunted for easter eggs. Then we headed back to Joe's parents house to help get easter dinner ready since my whole family was coming over there. We let Jonah dye some easter eggs. He kept wanting to put his hands in the dye and proceeded to get it everywhere along with throwing the eggs all over the floor. Then my family came over and we had a huge dinner. It was great to be able to have everyone there so we didn't feel torn between to places.

Jonah in his Easter Outfit all ready to go to church. He looked like a little man, so cute.

Checking out his Easter basket. He wasn't that in to it all he wanted to do was go to sleep.

His Easter bunny from Grandma and Grandpa.

After church we went to do an Easter egg hunt with my family and Jonah slept through it. Waking up at 5am will do that to you. :)

Some of the kids looking for Easter eggs with my parents.

After that we went back to Joe's parents house to get ready for Easter dinner. While the food was cooking we let Jonah dye some eggs and he made a huge mess but he had fun.

Here is what the eggs looked like when he was done with them. Looks yummy!!!

After dinner we put Jonah in the swing in the backyard and he loved it.

Like Father Like Son

I think that Jonah is going to be in to guns, blowing stuff up, and setting things on fire just as much as his dad.

Everytime we replayed the video of Joe shooting on the computer Jonah would crack up everytime the gun would go off. I think this made Joe's day.

(Please try not to notice the mess in the bathroom, it's laundry day)

Tombstone

This is one of the only pictures that Joe took of Tombstone while he was there. The other ones all had his friends in them and I am not sure they would want there pictures up here so this is it. He said that it was really fun and that it was even snowing when he left on Sunday.

Jonah and I were laying in bed "trying" to take a nap (since we had been up since about 6am and it was 2pm with no nap in between) when Joe got home. Joe came over and laid in bed on the other side of Jonah and started talking to me. Well the second Jonah heard his voice his little head whipped around so fast and he just started laughing at his daddy. It was so cute but after that I could not get him to go to sleep, which made for a very fun evening.

Daddy Time

Joe's friend called him at about three yesterday afternoon to ask if he wanted to come down to Tombstone because he was going to get married and they needed a witness. I really wanted to go with him because I have never been down there but it didn't work out for both of us to go. So Jonah and I stayed home and hung out all night while Joe went down, he is on his way home now and called to say that it was pretty cool and that we are going to have to go sometime soon, he took a few pictures so I will post them later. For now I will give you some other cute pics.

The other day I came home to see this two just hanging out. Jonah was just climbing all over his dad while he was on the phone (can't you tell Joe was really happy to have his picture taken).

I was making Jonah a bottle the other night and when I came back to the couch he was just chillin watching tv and holding on to his foot, which is his new favorite thing to do.

I just got him out of the bath in this picture, he was trying to eat the towel. Lately he has been chewing on any piece of fabric that gets close to his mouth. The other day he was sucking of his blanket and he had chomped down on it so hard I couldn't pull it out of his mouth.

Headache

I posted a few weeks ago about Jonahs bedtime behavior. Well it has only become worse since then. Before he would just lay there and talk until he finally fell asleep. Now he will start talking and then get louder and louder the more you ignore him. I just don't know what to do about it, last night progressed to the point where he was crying hysterically for about a half hour. The thing is when we put him down for a nap we usually let him nap on our bed because our room is quieter and darker during the day and he usually falls asleep with little of his shenanigans. The other night I took him out of his crib and laid him in our bed and he fell asleep almost right away. I don't want to make this a habit because he needs to sleep in his own bed, he is also going to start napping in his own bed. I just am at my wits end trying to get him to bed at night and while it would be easier to just put him down in our room I don't want to create any bad habits so if any of you have any advice I would be grateful. The above picture is what I usually see from 8pm to 10pm when I go check on him (don't be fooled by the sweet innocent face).

This is last night after he screamed for half an hour I put him in our bed and not even a minute later he was out cold. PUNK!!!!

Strollers

I am so sad, it seems like the past month we have had so many visitors down here which is a nice change. No one ever wants to drive an hour down here just to hang out for a little bit. But this past month Joe's parents (my in laws- that's for you Sue :) have come down a couple Saturdays in a row. My cousin came from Hawaii to visit us for two weeks. Tyler and Mary came from Cali for a weekend. Now everyone is gone and I have no visits to look forward to (hint, hint, anyone). It was so fun having Jennifer here. Jonah loved her so much. All she had to do was look at him and he would just crack up laughing, he had tons of fun with her. I can't wait until she moves here :).

We got Jonah a new stroller this week and he loves it. It is alot cushier then the Graco stroller and it has a harness so he is able to move around in it alot easier which he loves. We have taken him out on a couple walks the past few days and whenever we did that before by the time we got home he was very fussy. Now he loves it. He can sit up and hold on to the tray in front and see eveything. It also has really good shocks on it which is good for the bumpy streets around here. Tonight when we took him out he loved the way the vibration from the wheels made his voice sound and would talk and talk until the road got smooth again. It was pretty cute.

Doctors

Jonah had his six month check up this morning and of course he measured off the charts. He was 23 pounds 5 oz and 30 inches long. He got his shots like a champ and only cryed for the 3rd and 4th ones and then stopped as soon as the needle was out (he rocks). The only thing of concern was the measurements of his head. They said that it has grown so much from his last appt that they were a little concerned but they were sure that it was okay since his dads head is so big. They scheduled a appt at Phoenix Childrens Hospital for him to get a CT Scan just to be on the safe side. I am pretty sure that everything is fine but if you will keep him in your prayers until then that would be great.

Tyler and Mary came to visit this past weekend, and we had alot of fun even if I had to work. Jonah was so funny, he kept wanting to touch Ashton but if Ashton came near him or "talked" to him Jonah would freak. And he wasn't sure if he liked seeing someone else play with his toys (see above picture taken while watching Ashton play in his jumper).

It was great seeing you guys thanks for coming. Hope to see you later this month.
