Eighteen Month Pictures

Yesterday my sister and I attempted to take Jonah's 18 month pictures. Unfortunately for us the time period that we could do it was not the greatest. The sun was shining either straight in Jonah's eyes or casting a shadow across his face. This is probably the best picture we got. It came out pretty cute but the sun is kinda washing out his face. Andrea and her boyfriend Joe are going to try to photo shop them, so we will see if we can get them looking better. Here are a few of the others:

Cute, but the shadow ruins it.

Not only was it a bad time of day lighting wise, but Jonah was also not really willing to sit still for very long. So I would sit him down and Andrea would try and take the picture really fast.

Whining!!!

Trying to grab the camera from Andrea.

Being his normal Punky self!!! I still thought this one was kinda cute. Thanks Andrea for doing them, next time we will make sure not to do them at 5:30 in the afternoon.

Like I mentioned in my last post, Jonah has become slightly jealous of Caleb. Last night Caleb was in the play room and when Jonah went in there and saw Caleb he started whining and wouldn't really go back and play in there until Caleb was gone. He also wasn't very happy that grandma was rocking Caleb so he had to get in on the action. As soon as Caleb wasn't on grandmas lap Jonah was done with being rocked.

Last night Jonah was having fun playing with Flipper at his grandma and grandpa's house. He would go to one window and look out it until Flipper ran over and stuck his head inside and then Jonah would go over to the other window and look out it until Flipper would come over there. He kept doing this all night but he doesn't like it when Flipper tries to touch him.

We also had dinner last night with Andrea and her Joe at Joe's BBQ in downtown Gilbert. Jonah loved the BBQ chicken and corn. Yummy. But I think he just wanted to climb all over the John Deer tractor they had in there.

Any time we get up from the computer Jonah immediately tries to get on. Yesterday afternoon he jumped up on there and started messing with the mouse and then picked up my cell phone (that's what he is holding up to his ear). I though it was cute because he was copying his daddy.

Stuff

Andrea is taking Jonah's 18 month pictures today so I should wait to post this but oh well. Not much has been going on this past week. We still haven't heard back from the doctors about a date for Jonah's tubes, they are about to get a very angry phone call today from me. I just don't understand why it takes so long. Don't they just have to call and set an appointment. It is getting very annoying and I can't wait for this to be over. Anyways this is Jonah's new favorite toy at grandma and grandpa's house, unfortunately he has to share with Caleb which he doesn't like. He also doesn't like to share mommy with Caleb. Every time I hold him Jonah flips out.

Yesterday Joe got a huge shipment in that is currently sitting in my living room. He decided to make Jonah a fort out of the boxes. Jonah liked it for a few minutes but after that he was freaking out because he couldn't get out.
Yesterday was also my dads birthday, we all met for dinner at my grandmas house. I was very surprised because my sister Beka played with Jonah all night. Beka has never really paid attention to Jonah, she was kind of upset when he was born because he was a boy and she was afraid that he would only want to play with my brothers and not her. Plus she is my little mini me and I think she was also afraid that he would take her place. So it was pretty cool to see that she was actually playing with him.

And this is what Jonah looked like at the end of the night. He was so tired and he didn't want anything to do with anything. But thats what happens when you refuse to take a nap and stay up till 10 pm. Also he finally has a third tooth. One of his top teeth popped through two nights ago.

Sick Baby, Again!!!!

Jonah's doctors appointment last week went really good. I think we were there for all of 5 minutes, but the doctor is supposed to be scheduling a time for him to get the tubes in. The only thing is it has been a week and we haven't heard from them. Joe left a message yesterday and they haven't called back yet. I took Jonah in to the doctors yesterday because he has had a cold for a while but on Monday his breathing sounded really wheezy. He has bronchitis and another ear infection. Poor little guy just can't seem to get healthy this winter, it has just been one thing after another. But he is a trooper and it doesn't get him down.

Last week at his grandparents he discovered a love of Cheetos. The kid was completely orange by the time he was done. He loves going to grandmas house and he always gets to try new foods that he doesn't get at home. Like last night he was eating peanut M & M's. He would suck the candy coating and chocolate off and then spit the peanut out where ever he was at. Sue is probably going to be finding peanuts all over her house.

This past weekend on Valentines day we went to Macayos for dinner together. Of course we brought Jonah with us. We gave him his own chips and bowl of salsa and he went crazy. He was so content to just sit there and dip the chips in the salsa all by himself. We had a nice relaxing evening. And can't you tell from this picture that he really needs a hair cut!

Office Space

Well I should just wait to update this until tomorrow but whatever. Jonah went to get his hearing test done last Monday. I guess yelling at the office manager at his doctors office finally lit a fire under her because she called me and made the appointment for him to go that afternoon. The hearing place says that it looks like he has a little hearing loss. But I am not sure that I really believe that, he never seems to have a problem hearing us but he does like to ignore people when they are talking to him. The way they do the test is to say his name over and over getting quieter each time in different speakers and he is supposed to look in the direction that his name is coming from. Well I don't know about everybody elses kids but any kids I have known stop listening after a few times of that kind of stuff. So I just don't think that the test is very accurate for a kid Jonahs age. The doctor did say that his ears were completely clogged up though and none of the fluid was draining out and that was after him being on antibiotics for six days. He is going back to the ENT tomorrow afternoon so hopefully we will find out then about when he will get the tubes.

I love this picture of Jonah, it looks like one of those myspace pictures that people take of themselves trying to look all cool. I guess the pacifier takes away from the cool look though. Also check out how high his faux hawk is now. Definitely time for a hair cut.

Last week Jonah was at his grandmas and his cousins were playing with water and a turkey baster. It is amazing how long this kept them occupied. Adria and Amara were so nice to let Jonah play with them even though he was getting them soaking wet with all his splashing. He loves going to his grandmas and playing with his cousins.

We think we found a shop for Joe's business this past weekend. It is really nice and the building has been recently remodeled. The outside is so cute, it looks like a historic adobe building but is actually concrete block so it will be pretty cool in the summer.

The inside has a really nice paint job and new maple cabinets and two offices and a shop with a kitchen area. The awesome thing about it is that my friend's husband is renting it right now for his car detailing business but he doesn't need the majority of the space. All he needs to use is a store room in the building to hold his supplies and then there is an outside concrete area with two covered Ramada's and he just needs one of them. So if we decide to do it they will pay $200 in rent and we will pay $700 which is a great deal. We are pretty excited but still trying to decide if this is the best option for him.
