Last week I got two free passes to the Az Science Center in the mail. I have no idea why they sent them to us but hey we love free stuff. I have actually never been to the science center so I was excited to check it out. I thought Jonah would love messing with everything, unfortunately he just wanted to play with these toys that he can play with at his grandma's house.
I think this picture looks so sweet with him and Aidan.
Jonah loved these balls.
He didn't really get the concept of things but he did like that he could mess with all of it and not get yelled at.
He didn't enjoy this!
Another cute one of him and Aidan.
He had so much fun flying this airplane. He didn't want anyone else to play with it.
He thought these lights on the floor were cool. When you step on them they played different musical notes.
Joe on the bed of nails.
Lastly, Jonah finally decided that he was going to climb out of his crib this past Saturday. He was not liking having to take a nap and out he came. We were pretty shocked to see him walk out his bedroom door. I was really not looking forward to putting him in a toddler bed, I have nightmares of my brothers getting out of bed 1000X a night before finally falling asleep. But after his nap on Sunday he took a tumble off of the rails and landed on his train table so we decided to turn it in to a toddler bed. He has done SO good with it so far. He goes straight to bed at night when I tell him it is bed time and he stays in there until morning. He even calls for us to come tell him he can get out of bed when he wakes up. I am so impressed so far, this kid is so hyper and not the greatest listener so I am really shocked that he is doing so well with it.

Happy Easter

We had a great Easter with my family this year. Jonah got way to much candy, of course!
He loves marshmellows so I thought he would like the peeps but he ate two of them and them spit the second one out in to my hand (when he doesn't like stuff he has to spit it in to my hand instead of the trash).
He got to see his beloved Aunt Beka. This kid LOVES Beka, he is always asking about her and gets so excited when he see's her.
Of course we had to get a cousins picture. Aren't they so cute together.
Kayden was looking away from the camera so Jonah took it upon himself to fix his head.
Kayden is getting so big and is really starting to look like his mommy!
Jonah got the concept of an Easter egg hunt this year. He had so much fun finding the eggs. I think he actually found more eggs then the older kids.

Joe helped him find the eggs high up in the trees.
Jonah had a pretty fun day, he had all of his favorites:
Candy, church (he gets so excited to go to his class), Beka, the Kids (Jake, Ben, Andrew, and Josh, food, running around all day like a kid on crack.
He was pretty wore out by the time we got home.

Carlsbad

Our trip to California got off to a slightly rocky start. We were about 40 minutes from my in laws and we had stopped at a rest area when Jonah puked all over himself and his car seat. So we got Jonah cleaned up but his car seat had puke in every little crevice so we had to put him in the seat next to it. He thought he was a hot shot and curled up and went to sleep.
The next day we headed over to Legoland. Let me just say that Jonah was the biggest BUTT and we ended up only staying an hour. He whined the entire time we were there. Plus all the rides had about 60 minute waits, which did not help matters.
All the rides looked pretty interesting so we will have to go back real soon to check it out.
Jonah happy on one of the two rides we went on while we were there.
After Legoland we headed back to my in laws condo and decided to hit the beach. This was Jonahs first time at the beach and when we first got there he wasn't to sure of the sand. I don't know why he was all weirded out by it since he has played in sand before. He kept grabbing mine and Sue's hands and just hanging between us so he wouldn't touch the sand.
Once we got him down to the wet sand he was fine.
He loved the water and wanted to get in right away.
He kept me and Joe in the water holding his hands for quite a while.
He loved the waves hitting him and almost knocking him over.
When he was done playing in the water he decided to give the sand a second chance. He had fun building sand castles with his daddy and grandpa.
We went to downtown Carlsbad after the beach and ate dinner at a yummy pizza place. Afterwards we walked around and checked out the shops.
They have a commuter train that runs right through there and Jonah LOVED it. I think we watched three trains go by while we were down there.
He had fun hanging out with his grandpa!
And with his grandma (or Dot as he calls her, lol)
When it was time for bed he wanted to walk to the beach again, so we took him down there. He just stood there and stared at the water while the grown ups talked for a good five minutes. If you know Jonah the you know that is VERY rare. We walked over to the jetty and he sat in my lap and fell asleep listening to the waves crashing on the rocks. It was pretty sweet.
The next morning before we left to go home we went for a walk by the lagoon. Jonah's new favorite thing is to go on walks and make us carry him on our shoulders.
He had fun climbing on all the rock and giving me a heart attack.
Waiting with daddy for the train to go by again.
Pretending he was asleep so we wouldn't leave.
This picture pretty much describes his attitude the entire time we were there.
The view from my in laws house. Sweet!!!
We had a lot of fun out there visiting Jonah's grandma and grandpa. Hopefully we will be out there a lot this summer to visit them and enjoy the beach!
