Jonah has been doing great since his surgery last week. Actually besides the first two hours after his surgery you would never know that he even had anything done. Its been great, this kid is a trooper. I don't know how we would have handled it if he had been one of those kids who got really cranky when they get ear infections. He did throw up twice last Tuesday and then Saturday night after I gave him a bath he was eating some cheese and he threw up all over the living room floor. I don't know if it was because he gagged himself with the stick of cheese because he was shoving the whole thing in his mouth or if his tummy wasn't feeling good. He also hasn't been eating much this past week. It seems to be getting a little better but we will see. The big difference I have seen this past week is he is putting a lot of new sounds together and in general a lot more talking, which with him I didn't know that was possible. The cutest thing is he will lift up his shirt and say bel bel and the grab your hand to tickle his belly. Oh and ps those black spots on the carpet are his raisins that he dumped of the table and then crawled under there to eat them, he is weird but since he was eating I let it go!

All Better! Hopefully!!!
Well Jonah's surgery for his tubes went really well. He was such a good boy when we got to the hospital and the only thing he made a fuss with was when they put the bracelet on him. He had so much fun playing in the kids waiting room in the pre op area. And when the nurse and doctor came to take him back to the operating room I thought he was going to freak out like he does when we leave in nursery at church. But he just looked back at us when they were carrying him away and didn't cry. It seemed like we just got out in the waiting room when the doctor came and told us that he was all done. I think it took all of 20 minutes. Then right after that a nurse came and got me to go back to the recovery room to be there when Jonah woke up. Unfortunately when we were walking down the hall to the recovery room I could hear him screaming. When I got in there he was fighting with three nurses trying to get them away from him. He kept kicking at them every time they would touch him. When I picked him up I could tell he just wanted to cuddle with me but he kept arching his back and trying to get away and was screaming and crying the whole time. The nurse said that most kids act this way when they are coming out of the anesthesia. It took us about 45 minutes for me to get him calmed down enough for them to let us leave. Once we got to my in laws house he just went between Joe, his grandma, and me cuddling with each of us and zoning out. It was funny though because he went from zoning out to just fine in a matter of seconds. He just all of a sudden sat up and started talking and wanted to get down and play. Then he was fine the rest of the day and it was like he never had surgery that morning. Kinda funny.
And lastly the other day I pulled Jonah out of his high chair and I had given him a granola bar and some how it was stuck all over his butt and the back of his legs. I just thought it was funny.

Easter
We had a great Easter, celebrating with both our families at the same time was awesome. I am so glad mine and Joe's families get along because it makes the day so much less stressful since I can see everyone at the same time. We started the morning at home and gave Jonah his Easter basket. Let me tell you the only thing he liked in there was the peeps. Nasty!!! What kid doesn't like Animal crackers, crazy boy. Then we went up to Gilbert for church and then over to my in laws to get ready for dinner, where my family joined us.
Before dinner Jonah and all his cousins had an Easter egg hunt. Jonah didn't really care about finding the eggs but he would pick them up when we pointed them out.
The only eggs that he liked were the confetti eggs, so we probably had a better supply of them then anyone else :)
For Jonah's Easter present his grandparents got him a keg of root beer. Jonah LOVES soda, he doesn't get it very often but if he sees anyone drinking it he flips out. His grandpa is nice and always shares is root beer with Jonah.
Also Jonah went to the doctors this morning because I thought he had an ear infection. Luckily he doesn't, but he is so hard to tell when he does have one because all he does is rub his ears all the time. Well he is getting a molar in on the top so that's probably why he is rubbing his ears. But his poor right eye has been all red and bloodshot for 3 days and apparently he has allergies, my poor baby. He also has a sinus infection because of his allergy's. You would never know he is sick though he has been such a good boy. He is getting his tubes next Tuesday so hopefully that will take care of his ears for now. Oh and by the way he is 36 pounds now, I can barely carry him.

Easter Eggs
We dyed Easter eggs with Jonah tonight. I was a little hesitant about letting him do it because he is so young and I have a weird phobia about letting him do things that get him messy. But he did great, he dropped the egg in the cups and waited until I pulled them out with the wire thing and then he would take it off and put it in the carton. He was so excited to do it and he only tried to take a drink out of the cup a couple times.
He looks like he is about to smash the egg but I was really surprised at how well he did and how well he listened to us.
All done, and I was the one who made the biggest mess. I got two pink stains on my counter top, oops.

Dinner time

This is what our dinners look like lately. Jonah likes to play with his food and usually he just dumps it off of the plate or out of the bowl on to his high chair tray. The other night he took it a step further and rubbed his macaroni and cheese all in his hair. Not only did he rub it but he mashed the macaroni all in his hair. Very fun to clean up. I guess I should be happy that he didn't get any on the floor.
