Nine Months

The fat little monkey turns 9 months old today, time flies by so fast. Its been a long 9 months when you look at it from a day-to-day basis, but in the big view its gone by quickly. Seems like it won't be long before he is no longer our little baby and all of this will be memories. Guess we should enjoy each day and the experiences it brings as they aren't replaceable and we will soon be moving on to the 'terrible twos' and other 'less cute' behaviour. (Written by Joe)

So Jonah's has found his tongue today and this is what he has looked like all day long. It is kinda funny and looks like Gene Simmons. Maybe he has some teeth coming in finally because he keeps licking his bottom gums. Oh and yes he is standing in his laundry basket. He kept grabbing at it so I put him in there and he was standing by himself and thought he was pretty hot stuff.

He hasn't started crawling yet but he is walking with us when we hold his hands. He is also very ornery, if we aren't paying attention to him he will yell and the second we look at him to see what is wrong he will just laugh. He also likes to pull my hair when I am trying to get him to sleep at night and then laughs when he does it. I think he is going to be a handful like I was when I was little. My mom told me yesterday that it was pay back for how I was with all my siblings and cousins. But he is an awesome baby and he cracks us up constantly except right now he is whining because he refuses to take naps longer then 20 minutes at a time lately. Love him!!! Lol
Well he goes to the doctors on Monday so I will post then what his current weight and height is. I weighed him on my scale last night and he weighed 26 and half pounds so he really hasn't changed much in the past two months.

Happy Birthday Amara!!!

Today is our niece's 5th bday and yesterday she had a marathon party starting at Bounce U and ending about six hours later at Jeepers (Jungle Jim's Playland). I can't believe she is going to be starting school this August, it's crazy.

Jonah wasn't to keen on Bounce U. He went down the big slide twice and Joe took him in one of the bounce houses for a few minutes but it was about an hour past his nap time so he was a little cranky while we were there. Actually he was so tired he fell asleep on my shoulder which if you have ever been to Bounce U you know how loud it is between the kids yelling and the music then you know he must have been really tired.

He got to play in the sand for the first time and he loved it. He kept picking up handfuls of sand and looking at us like is this ok or am I going to get in trouble for playing with it. I was very suprised that he didn't try to eat any of it though. I can't wait to take him to the beach this summer, maybe we will have a chance when we are in California next weekend.

He also got to ride a carousel for the first time. He didn't really like it to much so his grandma had to get on the horse with him. She wasn't to happy at me for taking a picture of her on the horse but it was to cute to pass up.

Jonah had his first big boy bath this past week. He out grew his infant bathtub a while ago and usually just takes showers with us. He loved it except he couldn't keep a hold of his toys and they would float to far for him to reach.

He also peed on me for the first time EVER today. I couldn't believe it, he has gotten Joe, his grandma Sue, and Valerie but never me. I was shocked, I know little boys do that butI guess I have been very lax when I change him because he has only done it a few times. Oh well I still love him to death (he just better not do it again:).

Also if you want to see some really cute pictures of Jonah and Ashton check out my friend Mary's blog (she is linked on the sidebar). She got some awesome ones the past couple times we have seen them.

Reunion and Random Post

Last weekend we went to California because Joe's high school had a reunion for the first six classes that graduated. He went to a small christian private school and had a whole 16 kids in his graduating class (slightly different from my graduating class at Mesa High which had like 900 or something crazy like that). It was nice for him to get to see his old friends that he hasn't seen since he graduated 17 years ago, even though he was dreading going I think he enjoyed it.

They had a BBQ out in the soccer field and it was freakin hot and windy so we hijacked somebody's canopy and sat under it the whole time with the babies. Jonah really didn't enjoy the grass and would scream bloody murder every time we would put him on it. So we sat him on a blanket and let him play with a ball the whole time. Also it was so windy that day and they had one of those blow up obstacle cousre things for the kids. Well I don't know if they didn't stake it down or what but it blew over and rolled with a bunch of kids in it. Is it wrong that I laughed when this happened? I am totally one of those people who laugh when people fall down. I can't help it it just comes out.

After the reunion I went with Mary to her nieces first Holy Communion. I took this picture of Jonah and Ashton before hand and I can't believe how big Jonah looks next to Ashton who is turning one next weekend. The ride home from there was horrible, Jonah decided that he couldn't wait till we got back to Tyler and Mary's to eat and he screamed the entire half hour which then set Ashton off and he cried the entire way home also. Needless to say we had bottles waiting there for them and drinks waiting for us.

Jonah is slowly getting used to the new car. He doesn't really cry back there anymore he just yells at us until we turn around to look at him. It is kinda funny.

We got him a new stroller, do you like it :) You can tell he does.

Tired

This is what happens when you refuse to take a nap all day and are extremely hyper ALL day:

This kid never just falls asleep anywhere so it was pretty funny when he crashed here tonight.

Play, Play, Play

Jonah's grandma got him this cute little car that is like a rocking horse. He loves it and when we would put him in it to play he would pull himself up to stand and then rock it back and forth. He thought he was so cool standing with no help from any one.

He also gets very serious when he plays with his toys. He is playing in a jumper here and it has this little seesaw and he makes this face everytime he plays with it. He looks like he wants to rip it right off, kinda mean. (You can also see his awesome mohawk in this picture, his hair kinda does that on its own.)

Here he is again looking all angry at the toy.

He also loves to play with his grandpa. He looks like he wants me to stop interrupting his play time to take pictures.

Bye, Bye...

To the yellow gas guzzling beast.

And welcome my new car. Yea!! It has leather seats with warmers and a remote start. And it fits my whole family. I am beyond excited.

But this little dude isn't digging it very much since he now has to sit in the back and can't see out the windows.

By the way he is feeling a lot better now. He went to the doctors today and they said his ear infection is almost gone and he still has four days of antibiotics left. Joe on the other hand is still feeling horrible, hopefully he will feel better by Friday because we are supposed to go to California this weekend.

Sick Baby!!!

Well apparently the amoxicillin did nothing for Jonah and now he has an ear infection in both ears and is VERY congested and has the worst cough which got so bad last night almost every time he would start coughing he would throw up. Poor little guy had me up almost all night last night and when he would finally fall asleep he would wake up screaming about 20 minutes later. He went to the doctors yesterday and I couldn't get his prescription until today because my insurance SUCKS and I have to go to a Cigna pharmacy to get it filled and without insurance it was going to be $200.00 at Walgreen's. I felt so bad for the little guy last night, at about three in the morning I took him into the bathroom and sat there for about half an hour with the shower running to help loosen him up a bit. Finally I had to wake Joe, who has the flu (sorry Mary and Tyler), up and have him sit with Jonah so I could get about two hours sleep before I had to get up for work. Luckily I have an awesome boss who let me go home at 10am and is letting me work a half day tomorrow, so hopefully my baby will let me sleep tonight now that he is all medicated. Also I took him with me to Target tonight to get him some vapor rub and he started coughing and coughed up the nastiest "thing" all over the floor. It was so gross I almost had to puke.

Happy Birthday Joe

Joe's 34th birthday was on Saturday, we had a little party at his parents house and then went bowling. Our friends Tyler and Mary came out on Friday night from California and we didn't tell Joe that they were coming. He was very suprised when he opened the door and they were there. It was a very fun/long weekend and at this moment Joe is "napping' and has been for the past three hours.

So Happy Birthday Joe, hope you had a good one even though you hate suprises :)

Jonah really liked his daddy's cake. This is a really bad picture but he kept shoving his hands straight into his grandmas piece. If you look at his hand it is full of frosting. Yum!!
