Today is our niece's 5th bday and yesterday she had a marathon party starting at Bounce U and ending about six hours later at Jeepers (Jungle Jim's Playland). I can't believe she is going to be starting school this August, it's crazy.
Jonah wasn't to keen on Bounce U. He went down the big slide twice and Joe took him in one of the bounce houses for a few minutes but it was about an hour past his nap time so he was a little cranky while we were there. Actually he was so tired he fell asleep on my shoulder which if you have ever been to Bounce U you know how loud it is between the kids yelling and the music then you know he must have been really tired.
He got to play in the sand for the first time and he loved it. He kept picking up handfuls of sand and looking at us like is this ok or am I going to get in trouble for playing with it. I was very suprised that he didn't try to eat any of it though. I can't wait to take him to the beach this summer, maybe we will have a chance when we are in California next weekend.
He also got to ride a carousel for the first time. He didn't really like it to much so his grandma had to get on the horse with him. She wasn't to happy at me for taking a picture of her on the horse but it was to cute to pass up.

Jonah had his first big boy bath this past week. He out grew his infant bathtub a while ago and usually just takes showers with us. He loved it except he couldn't keep a hold of his toys and they would float to far for him to reach.
He also peed on me for the first time EVER today. I couldn't believe it, he has gotten Joe, his grandma Sue, and Valerie but never me. I was shocked, I know little boys do that butI guess I have been very lax when I change him because he has only done it a few times. Oh well I still love him to death (he just better not do it again:).
Also if you want to see some really cute pictures of Jonah and Ashton check out my friend Mary's blog (she is linked on the sidebar). She got some awesome ones the past couple times we have seen them.

Last weekend we went to California because Joe's high school had a reunion for the first six classes that graduated. He went to a small christian private school and had a whole 16 kids in his graduating class (slightly different from my graduating class at Mesa High which had like 900 or something crazy like that). It was nice for him to get to see his old friends that he hasn't seen since he graduated 17 years ago, even though he was dreading going I think he enjoyed it.
They had a BBQ out in the soccer field and it was freakin hot and windy so we hijacked somebody's canopy and sat under it the whole time with the babies. Jonah really didn't enjoy the grass and would scream bloody murder every time we would put him on it. So we sat him on a blanket and let him play with a ball the whole time. Also it was so windy that day and they had one of those blow up obstacle cousre things for the kids. Well I don't know if they didn't stake it down or what but it blew over and rolled with a bunch of kids in it. Is it wrong that I laughed when this happened? I am totally one of those people who laugh when people fall down. I can't help it it just comes out.
After the reunion I went with Mary to her nieces first Holy Communion. I took this picture of Jonah and Ashton before hand and I can't believe how big Jonah looks next to Ashton who is turning one next weekend. The ride home from there was horrible, Jonah decided that he couldn't wait till we got back to Tyler and Mary's to eat and he screamed the entire half hour which then set Ashton off and he cried the entire way home also. Needless to say we had bottles waiting there for them and drinks waiting for us.
We got him a new stroller, do you like it :) You can tell he does.

This is what happens when you refuse to take a nap all day and are extremely hyper ALL day:

Jonah's grandma got him this cute little car that is like a rocking horse. He loves it and when we would put him in it to play he would pull himself up to stand and then rock it back and forth. He thought he was so cool standing with no help from any one.
He also gets very serious when he plays with his toys. He is playing in a jumper here and it has this little seesaw and he makes this face everytime he plays with it. He looks like he wants to rip it right off, kinda mean. (You can also see his awesome mohawk in this picture, his hair kinda does that on its own.)
Here he is again looking all angry at the toy.

He also loves to play with his grandpa. He looks like he wants me to stop interrupting his play time to take pictures.

To the yellow gas guzzling beast.
And welcome my new car. Yea!! It has leather seats with warmers and a remote start. And it fits my whole family. I am beyond excited.
But this little dude isn't digging it very much since he now has to sit in the back and can't see out the windows.

Joe's 34th birthday was on Saturday, we had a little party at his parents house and then went bowling. Our friends Tyler and Mary came out on Friday night from California and we didn't tell Joe that they were coming. He was very suprised when he opened the door and they were there. It was a very fun/long weekend and at this moment Joe is "napping' and has been for the past three hours.
Jonah really liked his daddy's cake. This is a really bad picture but he kept shoving his hands straight into his grandmas piece. If you look at his hand it is full of frosting. Yum!!
