Laughing

So tonight I was putting a trash bag in the trash and when I opened it up Jonah started laughing like crazy. By the time we got the camera it was fifteen minutes later and he was still laughing hard.

Eleven Months

So Jonah is eleven months today. I can't believe that he will be one years old in a month. It is crazy how fast it has gone by. I haven't even started planning his birthday party yet and part of the reason I think I haven't is because then I will have to face the fact that he isn't my little baby anymore. I should probably get on it pretty soon but I guess some things are still up in the air a little bit that are making it kinda hard to plan something. Anyway like I said in my last post Jonah has been learning so many new things this past month. He has gone from his army crawl (it seriously looked like the crawl the guys in the army do) to actually crawling this past week. He is starting to say a few words but mostly just daddy. He loves to give "kisses" which is more like him making out with our cheeks (it's lovely). He has to pull himself up on everything and has almost fallen into the bath tub (from the outside of it), played in the toliet at hi grandma's house, tryed to climb up on the printer stand so he could get on to the computer desk, takes an hour to get to sleep every night because he stands up the second I lay him down. He still has no teeth but I am amazed at what this kid will eat without them, it gets pretty fuuny sometimes. But he loves bread and pasta just like his mommy. But he is the sweetest baby ever and we love him to death even when he is ornery like he has been all day today.

This is what most pictures of him look like these days. As soon as he sees the camera he comes crawling towards it.

Standing up by the couch. This kid is so tall, he is almost the same size as his two year old cousin. And his faces looks so chubby and pinchable in this picture.

Playing with the stereo, a daily occurance.

The other night we bought him a glow stick because he LOVES flashlights (he gets that from his dad who has a weird obsession with flashlights) so I wanted to see what he would do with one of these. He bearly let it go all night and even slept with it in his crib.

Tired Much???

Here we go, Joe caught him doing it again during his nap today. This kid has to stand up every chance he gets, tonight while I was waiting for the water to get warm for his bath I ran into the bedroom and came back in and he was just standing at the tub staring at the water coming out of the faucet. Of course this was after I had gotten him undressed and he peed all over the bathroom floor and then crawled through it spreading the puddle everywhere. Fun times!!

He was being slightly ornery tonight while I was fixing dinner so I put him in his jumper and he kept whining and whining. So I gave him his teething ring (still no teeth) and he was fine for a little while and then he started whining again. I gave him his pacifier and he got really quiet. The next time I turned around he looked like this:

He slept like this for a good 20 minutes while I finished dinner. He must have been really tired because that doesn't look very comfortable.

My Big Boy

Jonah seems like he is growing up so fast this past month with all the new things he is learning. One of our favorites is he can now hold his own bottle. As you can see he is not to steady with it since he insists on holding it with one hand but it helps us out a lot.

He has also started drinking out of a sippy cup and holding it on his own. He loves water but would not really drink it out of a bottle. He wanted to drink it out of a cup so now he can do this with out getting it all over himself and us.

This morning when Jonah woke up I went in his room to get him and he was just standing up in his crib and had the blinds pulled aside and was just staring out the window. Since it was like 6 in the morning I didn't think to grab my camera so this is his little reenactment from this evening when he was supposed to be sleeping.

About to get in to stuff that he knows he is not supposed to get into. Look how excited he is thinking he was going to get away with it.

He looks like he is thinking here, but really I think he is just pooping.

Best Friends Forever?

So Tyler and Mary were out for the weekend and this time Jonah and Ashton actually tolerated each others company for longer the two seconds. We would actually keep finding them migrating towards the same areas to play in this weekend. On Saturday both me and Mary forgot our cameras at my house when we went up to my in laws to let he kids play so we missed out on some good play pictures. So here are a few from Saturday night and Sunday. We decided to put them in Jonah's crib to see what would happen and the outcome was a lot more tame then anticipated.

Ashton trying to keep Jonah from standing up in the crib.

Jonah trying to choke Ashton.

Jonah making it all better.

Both of the boys having fun.

Here is the best car ride me and Mary have EVER had with the boys. It usually ends up with one of the starting to cry which sets the other one off and then both of them proceeding to scream the entire time we are driving. This time they both slept the entire way from Casa Grande to Phoenix and back again. Awesome!!! Also today we were at Olive Garden and Ashton was laying his head on Mary's shoulder and Jonah reached out and gave Ashton a long hug. It was the cutest thing ever and it really surprised me because Jonah usually trys to stay out of arms reach of Ashton.

Both of them were fighting over pushing the buttons on the radio. Whoever knew that could be so fun.

Just a cute one of Jonah for my grandmas.

Anyway we had a fun weekend and Jonah actually crawled this morning which was awesome. But now he won't do it again. Oh well I am sure he will be all over it soon. Oh and beware of excessive posts of Jonah pics this week. My mom is visiting my great grandma and she wants to see lots of them while my mom has her laptop up there.

Obsession

Jonah has a new obsession with the radio in our office. If it is turned on he beelines straight for the radio and pushes all the buttons. Tonight he went over and turned it on and the sat up and started rocking his little body back and forth to the music.

This afternoon when I was going back to work from my lunch break I picked Jonah up and gave him some hugs and kisses and said I love you. Well I almost fell over when he actually said it back. Joe was sitting right next to me and we both just looked at each other and like did we really hear that. It was clear as day but of course he won't repeat it to us. He has also been saying dada and very rarely he will say mama, and I mean VERY rarely.

And lastly this is the new purse I REALLY want. Joe actually said I could get it on one condition. Well hopefully I will be able to fulfill that condition this friday and then I will let you know what it is. I don't want to jinx anything.

Happy Birthday Everyone

So July is the month of birthdays in my family. So instead of boring everyone with a post for each one I will do it all in one.

First my youngest sister Rebekah turned 8 this past Wednesday. I took her to see a movie and we are probably having a small family party for her this weekend. So Happy bday BooGirl. Hope you had a good one.

Second is our niece Adria who will be turning 8 tomorrow. She has having a beach party in Cali this weekend. Unfortunately we were unable to go but we hope you have a happy bday Adria.

My grandma Dottie's birthday is next Friday. Since she is back in Connecticut for the summer we don't get to spend it with her but I hope she has a great bday.

My mom's is on the 20 th of this month. They are going to be gone to Oregon for her bday so I hope she has fun and has a great bday up in the cooler weather.

My cousin Jennifer's bday is on the 24 th. Since she is in Hawaii we also won't be able to celebrate her bday until she comes out here in September but I hope she has a great day out there.

Also my grandpa Bill who I don't have any pictures of has a birthday on the 25 th so Happy Birthday grandpa.

I seriously think we need to make a law in my family that no one can have any more kids in July. September is almost as bad as this but not quite.

The last few nights we have been working with Jonah on falling asleep in his own bed. For a long time I have been putting him to bed in our room and then moving him into his room when we go to bed. Well this has resulted in him sleeping in his bed for like two hours and then waking up and ending back up in bed with us. It has been really hard as we have had to let him cry it out, which makes me feel horrible. The poor little guy gets himself so worked up that I just want to pick him up and snuggle him until he calms down. But I know that is the wrong thing to do and every night it gets a little easier and he is falling asleep faster and faster. Last night he fell asleep around 8:30 and I had put him in there at about 8:10 and he slept until 6:00 this morning had a bottle and went back to bed until 10. Before he was falling asleep between 8:30 and 9:00 and waking back up at about 2:00 am to have a bottle and ended up staying in our bed until morning. So hopefully he continues to get better about this and hopefully he sleeps until 10am tomorrow again so I can finally sleep in. The only thing is I miss getting snuggles from him everynight before he falls asleep.

Captive

So Jonah being the ornery little dude that he is decided that when Joe went to use the restroom this afternoon that he was going to go play with the door to the bathroom. He has this new fascination with opening and closing doors. So he proceeded to shut the door on Joe and then pushed his "little" body up against it and pushed it closed every time Joe tried to open it. He was also sticking his hands under the door and laughing at Joe every time he tried to open it. Well Joe didn't want to smash him so he was trapped in the bathroom for about five minutes trying to get Jonah away from the door. And as I type this he is back at the bathroom door and is stuffing CD cases under it.

The other night Jonah was playing at his grandparents and his grandma has this huge box of beaded necklaces and he was entertained for a long time with them. He kept pulling them out and putting them back in the box. He didn't even mind when we put necklaces and bracelets on him.

And lastly this kid loves bread. Anytime he sees someone eating some he freaks until you give him some. This is him attacking his grandma's pizza crust the other night.
