Headache

I posted a few weeks ago about Jonahs bedtime behavior. Well it has only become worse since then. Before he would just lay there and talk until he finally fell asleep. Now he will start talking and then get louder and louder the more you ignore him. I just don't know what to do about it, last night progressed to the point where he was crying hysterically for about a half hour. The thing is when we put him down for a nap we usually let him nap on our bed because our room is quieter and darker during the day and he usually falls asleep with little of his shenanigans. The other night I took him out of his crib and laid him in our bed and he fell asleep almost right away. I don't want to make this a habit because he needs to sleep in his own bed, he is also going to start napping in his own bed. I just am at my wits end trying to get him to bed at night and while it would be easier to just put him down in our room I don't want to create any bad habits so if any of you have any advice I would be grateful. The above picture is what I usually see from 8pm to 10pm when I go check on him (don't be fooled by the sweet innocent face).

This is last night after he screamed for half an hour I put him in our bed and not even a minute later he was out cold. PUNK!!!!

Well I certainly cannot hand out any good advice because I myself am in desperate need of some. My only thoughts are to hang a darker curtain on his window (we have a black and a white curtain on Tai's. We push the white over it during the day and the black when he goes to sleep) and I have been thinking of buying a noisemaker. Maybe too a really soft cushy blanket to go over his mattress. Kids beds are hard as rocks! Maybe that's both our kids problems :)

Now you and I both know he is acting like that because he misses me!?!? LOL Maybe you should try letting him fall asleep in your bed and then moving him to his own. That's what YOUR aunt did with Janet

I totally agree with the soft bed vs. firm bed. Ashton has the same problem... We usually just wait until he's asleep and then transfer him to his crib. most of the time that works. We all need a little super Nanny when it comes to this, I guess.

That sucks! The baby I watch only sleeps for maybe 1 hour at home with his mom, but here he'll sleep atleast 2. Yesterday 4 hours. But he does sleep in a swing. I know that's bad, but sometimes you have to do whatever to function. You probably need to cut out the sleeping on you bed for bedtime. You may have to let him cry it out and it may suck, but eventually he'll go to sleep in his bed. But I say not to worry about nap time. I think kids need bette habits at night sleep time. Hey! I gave my kids bottles at nap time so they'd fall asleep, be full and sleep longer.
