All Better! Hopefully!!!

Well Jonah's surgery for his tubes went really well. He was such a good boy when we got to the hospital and the only thing he made a fuss with was when they put the bracelet on him. He had so much fun playing in the kids waiting room in the pre op area. And when the nurse and doctor came to take him back to the operating room I thought he was going to freak out like he does when we leave in nursery at church. But he just looked back at us when they were carrying him away and didn't cry. It seemed like we just got out in the waiting room when the doctor came and told us that he was all done. I think it took all of 20 minutes. Then right after that a nurse came and got me to go back to the recovery room to be there when Jonah woke up. Unfortunately when we were walking down the hall to the recovery room I could hear him screaming. When I got in there he was fighting with three nurses trying to get them away from him. He kept kicking at them every time they would touch him. When I picked him up I could tell he just wanted to cuddle with me but he kept arching his back and trying to get away and was screaming and crying the whole time. The nurse said that most kids act this way when they are coming out of the anesthesia. It took us about 45 minutes for me to get him calmed down enough for them to let us leave. Once we got to my in laws house he just went between Joe, his grandma, and me cuddling with each of us and zoning out. It was funny though because he went from zoning out to just fine in a matter of seconds. He just all of a sudden sat up and started talking and wanted to get down and play. Then he was fine the rest of the day and it was like he never had surgery that morning. Kinda funny.

In his hospital gown from the back. They just had us keep his clothes on underneath.

From the front. He looked so cute.

Playing in the play house.

I just thought this was a cute picture, to bad I cut off the top of his head.

They had these two chairs in the waiting room that he just kept pushing around and rearranging.

So excited for his surgery!!!

Totally zoned out and glassy eyed on the way home.

And lastly the other day I pulled Jonah out of his high chair and I had given him a granola bar and some how it was stuck all over his butt and the back of his legs. I just thought it was funny.

You'll have to let us know if the tubes are helping. Most moms I have talked to said their kids were night and day after tubes. Love the granola butt and the cute hospital robe!

He sure seems better. Not one kleenex yesterday. Give him a big kiss for me. He was such a good boy all day also. Not one whine. He felt pretty cocky when he called you. So funny! Your purse got to be carried to the coatroom by the president! Good job purse! Thanks again.
