Want Some Cake?

So right after I did my last post I went in to my kitchen to make a cake for my office tomorrow. Well I dumped in the cake mix and started to crack the eggs. Right before I cracked the first one I thought to myself that maybe I should crack the eggs in a separate bowl. Well I didnt and this is what was in the egg. Nasty right. My biggest fear with eggs is that I will crack one that has blood or baby chicken parts. I seriously almost threw up. It just reminded me why I hate eggs. Gross!!!!!!

Almost There...

Lately Jonah has been letting go of things while he is standing for a few second while he inspects something he is interested in. Until now I haven't been able to catch it on my camera but finally last night I did:

He was just enjoying his pizza crust standing there. This picture was taken just seconds after he rubbed his pizza all over the leg of my jeans, lovely! He has even taken about two steps between me and Joe a few weeks ago. The funny thing is if we are holding his hand a walking with him and the let go he doesn't fall down. He will stand there for a moment and then slowly lower him self to the ground. Today we even had him almost sitting back down and then he would stand up again like he was doing squats. So I am sure he can do it he just needs to gain some confidence in himself.

While we were trying to get a picture of him standing we were trying to distract him with a Popsicle. He loves them but it didn't work.

And just a funny picture of him throwing a tantrum because he wanted out of the saucer. It was set on the lowest setting for Caleb and he kept bending all the way forward and almost touching the ground to try and crawl out of it. Pretty funny!

Happy Birthday to Me!!!!

Saturday was my 28 th birthday. I really can't believe that I am that old. It sounds so grown up and I definitely don't feel like one. Anyways I had a great weekend even though everything didn't go as planned. Here are a few of the awesome presents that I got:

Cute Coach coin purse and wristlet from my sister in law and brother in law. So Cute!!!

And awesome Coach purse from my mother and father in law. Seriously if you don't know, I have a slight obsession with Coach so I was totally excited to get these. I really can't believe that they actually got me this. I love it!!!



Please don't look at my nasty nails in this picture, but I got this Fossil watch from Joe. I love it and now Lisa and I can be watch twins, lol.

Lisa got me these yummy candles and gift card for Cheesecake Factory. If you haven't smelled this Autumn Apple candle from Bath and Body works you need to. It smells so good, like fresh apples. So thank you everyone for such a great weekend.

So for all you people out there how think Jonah is always a good boy this is your proof that he has been having attitude issues lately. I think he is crying here because I set him down to put stuff in his diaper bag so we could leave to go to dinner. He has been having major mommy separation issues the past few weeks. I can't even go to the bathroom with out him flipping out. I don't know how we are going to deal with leaving him for a week next month. Oh and he also had another ear infection and pink eye last week. Fun stuff!!! And he is now thirteen months and still no teeth and no walking yet.

We went last weekend and had Jonah's pictures taken. These are the pictures that we ordered:

He was kind of a pain because not only was he tired but we couldn't get him to sit still, he kept trying to crawl towards the camera. Luckily we got a few good ones but it is kinda sad that this is the first time we got his pictures done. I am such a bad mom :)

Bad Day!!!

So I had a horrible day at work at work today which included some random jerk calling me nasty names, so I am going to post some pictures that make me happy.

First Jonah has an obsession with the radio in his bedroom. He has already figured out how to load CD's in it and play them. It is crazy, isn't he to young to know how to do this? He just sits there and loads and unloads them and plays them all day long. Also he doesn't seem to like our music playing on the radio, he will turn it off and put his bedtime CD's in. Yesterday he messed with it so much that it finally got on Joe's nerves and he unplugged it. Well Jonah went right behind him and grabbed the plug and tried to plug it back in. We also have all the electrical outlets in the house baby proofed, but he has figured out how to take the plugs out. What the heck!!! To smart for his own good.

Second he has started to pitch fits when we give him baby food so we are trying to figure out what to feed him. It is kinda hard because he still has no teeth. But it is nice to eat dinner together and have him feed himself. Last night he had cheese, sweet potato puffs, bread (he loves bread), and all white turkey meat hot dogs. Then that didn't seem like the greatest meal so I fought with him and got two jars of baby food down him. Any ideas would be helpful. He pretty much will eat anything, he is not very picky.

He has also become obsessed with the diaper champ. I swear he goes between this and the radio all day long. He has figured out that this is where the diapers go and will try and put clean diapers down it all day long. Luckily he hasn't figured out how to flip it completely over yet.

Lastly on Saturday for my mother in law and sister in laws birthdays we went and got Jonah and Caleb's pictures taken at Target. Well they had a long wait so we walked around for about an hour and Jonah was getting very heavy. I set him in Caleb's car seat for a minute and he looked HUGE in it. He even fell asleep in it later on.

Hot tubbing

On Sunday when Joe and Jonah got back from their trip to California I went to pick them up. Joe was letting Jonah crawl around in the grass out in front of my in laws. Jonah was so hot and I wanted to cool him down but neither of us had our swimsuits and we didn't want to blow up one of the baby pools for Jonah so we improvised. I filled up one of the ice chests with water and we stripped him down. He thought it was so fun, he just played and played. I forgot to send Joe with my camera so of course we didn't get any pictures of this weekend. Missing

So Joe and Jonah went to California this weekend for a family reunion. I wasn't able to go because this was my weekend to work and I have had one of my co-workers switch with me a lot lately I didn't want to ask her again. I was I being a little selfish last week not wanting Joe to take Jonah with him, but I am glad he went so that his great grandma could see Jonah again. I think that the last time she saw him was back in May. But I still miss him so much, it hurts a little to not have him here with me. I miss you to Joe, and I have been VERY bored!!! I always wish I had some time to myself and then I get it and realize it's not that great. Except being able to hog the bed, thats great, lol.
