Fifteen Months

Jonah turned fifteen months today. On Thanksgiving day my sister Andrea took some pictures of Jonah for Christmas. He wasn't very cooperative because we waited till like three in the afternoon to take them and he hadn't had a nap yet. So we only got a few pictures and we are going to try again next weekend. Plus everything was so wet since it had rained that morning and the day before. Anyway here are a few of the good ones that we got:

If you can click on this picture to enlarge it you can see his two cute little teeth.

He is making a funny face in this one but I still think it is cute.

This one cracks me up, it looks like he is pulling himself up out of the water. Really he is just standing on a bench a few feet from the water.

He is watching my youngest brother in this picture. I think he was trying to figure out what the heck he was doing.

Just a cute one of him with Beka and Jake watching the water.

He was so tired from not getting his nap and when we were walking to the second place that we were going to take pictures at he crashed.

So sweet. Needless to say this was the end of the photo session.

Later on in the evening after he woke up from his nap he was having fun pushing around his stroller. He isn't walking yet but he will push things around and walk behind it and he is also taking a few steps between things. My mother in law thinks he will be walking within the week but I think it will be closer to Christmas. I know he can do it already he just won't. He will stand there not holding on to anything and will squat down on the ground and pick something up and then stand back up and do that over and over without losing his balance. If he can do that he can walk. He is just a little stubborn. I wonder where he gets that from???

My younger brothers love Jonah so much. They both wanted to hold him and for me to take a picture of them. They both tried to pick him up and could barely do it. So they sat down and I took it. Jonah loves to play with them (especially Ben, the blond) and Ben told me that Jonah was COOL!!! Who knew a baby could be cool. Lol.

Santa Baby

Last year I was bad and kept putting off getting Jonah's pictures with Santa. Finally my wonderful in laws took him which I am glad because I never would have gotten around to it. Well yesterday I was at the mall and decided to just get them done. Luckily I had just bought him his Christmas outfit so I slipped on his sweater over the shirt he was wearing and voila perfect time to get them done. Unfortunately he didn't like Santa to much so here is the best we got:

Today was a pretty disturbing day at work. I wish I could share on here what happened but since it has to do with work I am not going to. So to put me in a better mood here are some cute pictures:

Right before I took this picture he was loving on Caleb, but the second he saw the camera he backed away. But he loves his cousin. They get so happy when they see each other.

We put Jonah in this little rocking chair the other night. He did not like it at all and sat there trying how to stand up and get out of it with out falling off. He kept putting his arms up for me to pick him up.

And lastly he LOVES to help us load and unload the dishwasher. It is a little more annoying then helpful but what can you do. Also do you love his pacifier? We took away all his pacifiers on Friday and he can only have them at bedtime and nap times. Well he found his thermometer one somewhere and was crawling around with it.

Nashville

We had so much fun on our trip to Nashville last week. The weather was awesome (to us anyway), it was cool and overcast and it rained a couple days that we were there. It was actually nice to be able to enjoy some fall weather in the fall. And it really sucked when we were landing in Phoenix and they told us it was 85 degrees out at 5:30 PM. The first night we were there we stayed at the Opryland Hotel. It was the coolest hotel I have ever stayed in (you should google it and check out more pictures). It was huge and they had I think five different atrium's that all had different themes. Our room was of the Cascades which had a waterfall and a pond. Here is the view from our room:

It was so pretty, all the stringy looking things that are hanging down are Christmas lights. It looked awesome at night. All the atrium's had shops and restaurants in them, and we sat on the patio of one for dinner and enjoyed all the views. The great thing about this place is you don't have to be a guest to enjoy it, anyone can go in and walk around. I wish I had taken more pictures of it but I only have this one.

We didn't go, but here is the Grand Ole Opry. We walked by it on the way to the mall.

Unfortunately I took almost no pictures while we were in Nashville, except at President Andrew Jackson's house The Hermitage. It was so pretty there with all the leaves changing colors.

See pretty trees.

More pretty trees. Why can't we have a real fall in Arizona? Why must we wait till January to see the leaves change color and fall just in time to re bloom on the tree in February for "spring".

Anyway here is the front of the house. Sorry this is the best I could get with all the trees in front. But so pretty, I want to live in this house. Except for the fact that the kitchen is not connected to the house. Oh wait, who am I kidding, I don't cook enough for that to matter much.

Back of the house. The front looks the same only it is painted white.

Joe walking to look in the slave cabins. The nice look on his face is due to the lady walking in front of him who kept farting with every step she took. He was pretty disgusted but I think it was a little payback to him, lol.

Andrew Jackson and his wife's tomb. I was really surprised at how close you could get to it.

His grave.

We loved it here, it was really open and the tour of the house wasn't long and boring like they usually are. I was really surprised at how open the whole site was and how close you can get to things there. We probably spent close to three hours there just wandering around the grounds and the museum.

Later in the week we went to Dollywood. I have wanted to go for awhile because it is fun to experience different theme parks. Joe on the other hand thought it was going to be lame and cheesy. Well I am glad we went. There wasn't a whole lot of rides but the few roller coasters they had kicked our asses. I was seriously expecting roller coasters like they have at Disneyland. You know fun but not exactly thrilling. I was so wrong:

The Tennessee Tornado went like 4G's. It was crazy, I loved it. It was even scarier at night, you seriously couldn't see anything in front of you.

I don't know who these people are, just some random pictures from the website. The Thunderhead was a wooden coaster and I about died on it. I totally screamed so loud and didn't even mean to. It just came out. My poor throat hurt so bad the next day. And Joe wouldn't stop making fun of me for it. But its all good because he had to lay down on a bench after it for like 10 minutes because he felt like he was going to puke. Haha.

The Mystery Mine was insane. Like twice it took you straight up and dropped you straight down. The crazy thing about it is from the outside the ride doesn't look that bad. All the scary stuff is hidden inside.

I would love to go back someday. Poor Joe thought he had food poisoning from some nasty English Pub he made me eat at for lunch that day, so he didn't really enjoy the rides much.

We also went to Dixie Stampede (which is part of Dollywood) the night before. It is a horse show and dinner, kind of like Medieval Times. The show was pretty cool, the food and the crowd was a little interesting.

We didn't really do much else except relax and sleep in every day. We spent some time in the evenings with Joe's Aunt and Uncle which was fun. Anyway this post is long enough and if you are still reading you rock!!!

If you want to see what Jonah did while we were gone check out my mother in laws blog, www.agreatdayatgrandmas.blogspot.com.

Later!!!

Tomorrow afternoon we will be here for a little over a week:

Nashville, Tn. Hope you all have fun here while we are enjoying some chilly weather.

Also I won a contest on http://geminigirl64.wordpress.com/. Check her out, she has the cutest twins that were born last November. They were really early but are healthy and adorable little girls now. Anyway I won this:

Its a cute blanket with clips that keep it attached to a stroller or car seat. Check out there website if you know anyone having a baby soon, its http://blankyclips.com/.
And Jonah seems to be feeling a lot better. I guess that teething, an ear infection, sinus infection, tummy virus, and a high fever would make you a little grouchy, which he has been all week. He isn't eating very much still but other then that he is doing much better.

Poor Baby!!!

My baby has been so sick this week. He had been pretty fussy all weekend but I just thought that it was because his second tooth is breaking through right now. He had a fever on Sunday night so we went and got him some baby Tylenol. His fever kept coming back as the Tylenol was wearing off. I think he ended up with three baths yesterday to try and cool him off a little. At one point yesterday he got up to 103.8. Well last night I fed him his dinner and I went in to the kitchen to get him some more food and I turned around real quick to look at him and he was throwing up exorcist style. It just kept coming and coming. He didn't even eat that much yesterday so I am not sure where it all came from. He threw up again this morning when he had his breakfast but he hasn't since then. His temperature got up to 104.2 this afternoon so we went to visit his doctor. Turns out his ear infection is gone but he has a sinus infection now, so they gave him a different antibiotic to be on so hopefully he will start feeling better. The only nice thing about him being sick is he has stayed on the couch and cuddled with me for two days. If you know Jonah you know this is VERY rare. He never sits still and is constantly on the move so for him to stay put on the couch without a fight really tells you how crappy he is feeling. I really hope that he is better by Saturday. I would really hate to leave him if he was still sick.
