Here is what a typical conversation with Jonah sounds like these days. He throws in some words with some mumbo jumbo. He may actually be saying stuff and we just haven't figured it out yet, but it is pretty funny to listen to. Plus he has the sweetest voice.

Bedtime

Jonah doesn't ever really sit still so trying to read him a bedtime story doesn't usually work out so well. Tonight he was having a hard falling asleep so Joe decided to try it. He read him Love You Forever, and this book always gets me choked up at the end. I mean I usually have tears in my eyes when I get done. Jonah did so good and laid there between me and Joe while Joe read the whole book to him.
Of course Joe had to point out and cars that were in the pictures. It was really sweet.

Trains

Jonah's cousin Aiden has a train table and the second Jonah gets to his house he bypasses everyone and heads straight to it. So Jonahs grandparents got him one for his birthday. Luckily it didn't take Joe quite as long as the kitchen to put together and since he finished it we have barely got Jonah out of his room. Pardon the mess in the background but we still have to move stuff around and out of the room for the table to fit.

I have like no pictures of my mom with Jonah so the other night when we were headed to dinner I had to snap this one. Jonah is not a fan of having to hold an adults hand in parking lots and crossing streets, so I thought it was cute when he grabbed my moms hand and starting walking with her. This kid tries to be so independent all the time.
Last night Jonah hopped up on the couch and snuggled with his grandma and grandpa before we headed home. He loves them so much!

Jonah and Kayden
Today Jonah and I went over to hang out with Rachael and Kayden for a little while so Jonah could meet his cousin. I got this picture of Kayden sleeping in his bouncer and I remembered I had a picture of Jonah with his head in that same position when he was about two weeks old.

I was a little worried that Jonah would be a rough with Kayden, but he was really sweet. He came right over to his bouncer and just sat there looking at him and then he would look back at us and laugh and giggle. It was really cute!

When Kayden woke up we let Jonah hold him for a minute and he was loving on Kayden the whole time. Sorry the pictures are off center a little but I was trying to watch and hold Kayden and snap the picture at the same time.

Giving him kisses. Kayden was hungry so that is why he is crying in the pictures.

It was so sweet watching Jonah with Kayden, I hope this is the start of a very long friendship for them.

Kayden and Jonah have one thing in common already! They both LOVE boobies and LOVE to flash them, lol!

Kayden Taylor

I got a phone call from Rachael this morning at about 7:45am that she was in labor and for me to head up there. When she got to the hospital she was 5.5cm dilated and she stayed that way for about 4 to 5 hours. They broke her water at 12:30 and things really picked up from there. She started pushing at 3:07 and he was born at 3:32pm. She had to get an epidural because she was having some issues with high blood pressure and it was affecting her liver and they didn't want to stress out her body. Unfortunately her epidural wore off when she was about 9cm so she felt the last 45 minutes. Rachael only pushed 5 times and had him out in 25 minutes. They had to use the vacuum for the last two pushes because his heart rate was dropping really low and they wanted to hurry and get him out.

Sweet baby! Weighed in at 6 pounds 12 oz, 20 3/4 inches long, head cir. 13 inches. Born at 36 weeks and 5 days.

It was such an awesome experience to be able to be in the room and help deliver Kayden. I got to see him in his first seconds in this world and I can't even put into words how it felt. I feel so blessed that I was included in the experience. Rachael did an awesome job and never complained about the pain once. She was feeling a lot better when we left the hospital tonight and Kayden is doing so great for being early. I wish I didn't have to wait a whole week to go up and see him again.

Two Year Pictures

My sister Andrea and I took Jonah to the Riparian Preserve in Gilbert to do his pictures. Unfortunately it was 120 degrees (according to the thermometer in my car) outside so we were only there for about 10 minutes max. The pictures we got weren't the greatest (as you can tell from the picture above) because all Jonah wanted to do was run around. Anyway here are a few of them:

We put him on this rock and I felt it before I sat him down and it didn't feel that hot but apparently it was.
Definitely not happy about it. After this picture we went straight to lunch at Paradise which made everyone happy!!!Also I forgot to put his stats on the last post but my giant baby is weighing in at 38 pounds and is 37 1/2 inches tall now!

Happy Birthday Jonah!!!

Okay, I guess I have procrastinated enough on this post. Last Saturday was Jonah's 2nd birthday. We had what turned in to a huge party for him. I guess with our family is would be huge no matter what. But we had a great time. At one point I thought Jonah was crying hysterically in the playroom so I went to see what was wrong and he was actually laughing at Beka pushing him on the roller coaster.
Does this child not have the most beautiful eyes. He gets away with sooo much with those things!

Opening Presents. I swear he is the only kid who hates to open presents. It is such an ordeal with him. He was mad that we made him sit down and stop playing and then he opened his first present and just wanted to play with it and wanted nothing to do with the others.

His favorite present is his train table. When he opened it he just sat there and stared at it. Hopefully his daddy can get it set up soon.

Enjoying his yummy cake and ice cream. I tell you this kid ate nothing but sugar all day long besides one piece of pizza and he was so well behaved. He didn't even nap during the day and he had no meltdowns until 9:00 that night. He is such a good boy.

He looks so cute in his pajamas that his old grandma got him (that's what my grandma calls her self)!

The day after his bday me and Andrea took him to take his two year old pictures, these are a few I got with my crappy camera. Hopefully Andrea will get me the ones she took soon. It was so freakin hot out that day so we only took a few pictures!

It was a very busy and fun weekend, thank you to my in laws for helping us out with Jonah's party so much. They always have great idea's for party's and all the kids LOVE going to there house!
