Eighteen Months

My little man turned eighteen months this weekend! I can't believe how big he is getting, and I don't mean that in a "I can't believe Jonah is already eighteen months"way. No this kid is huge, he is probably 1/2 an inch shorter then his cousin Aidan who will be three next month. He is still wearing 2T pants and some shorts from last summer still fit him but they are borderline nerdy, and he is somewhere in between a 2T and a 3T in shirts. In the last three months he has started walking (and running), feeding himself with a fork, still not talking other then mama and dada but I am pretty sure that once he gets his tubes he will be (the tentative date is March 31st). He understands what we are saying to him but that definitely doesn't mean he listens to us. Last night we were at my in laws house and he kept going up and banging on the TV screen. I would tell him no and he would look back at me and laugh and then hit it harder and faster. So I would get up to get him and he would run away into the kitchen laughing. He is a little turkey like that. He also copies things he sees us doing, like one day Joe went in the bathroom and he was sitting on the floor with Joe's razor shaving his face. He likes to brush his teeth (but only with our toothbrushes, not his) and put "make-up" on with my make-up brushes. He has been keeping us on our toes, the kid is constantly on the go with never a moments rest. And he has a HUGE mischievous streak in him, always doing things he knows he isn't supposed to and then letting you know he did it. But he is also a very sweet boy and loves getting loved on and giving loves. I just wish he would stop growing up so fast, he is not a baby anymore!!!
