Fresno

This past week we went to Fresno to visit my great grandparents and my grandma who was down visiting from Oregon. I was so worried how Jonah was going to do on the trip over since the ride is like 10 hours. But I was surprised, he did really good. He only started to get whiny about an hour before we got there and I just gave him some skittles and he stopped whining. Now on the rest of the trip and the ride home he was a little punk. He was so whiny and cranky I was ready to sell him to the first person who asked.

Jonah had so much fun playing in my grandparents back yard. He just kept pushing around this little cart that my grandma uses to sit on to do her weeding. He would push it until it hit something and then he would whine and we would have to go turn it around for him. He also had my great grandma pushing it around with a stick and he was also pushing it. If he saw she didn't have the stick pushing the exact right spot on the cart he would get mad.

Jonah getting my great grandma to play with him.

My grandma made this awesome Apricot Crisp from some fresh apricots that she gets from a friend who has a orchard near them. The first night we were there Jonah took a bit and spit it out. I think it was a little tart for him after having a bite of ice cream. The second night we just had the apricot crisp and he climbed up on my grandma's lap and ate all of hers.

Just a cute picture of Jonah exploring the backyard.

In the backyard there is a limequat tree that had lost a bunch of its fruit on a windy day. Jonah kept picking up nasty moldy limequats and carrying them around.

I told my grandma that we should get him a bag and maybe he would pick the all up for her. So she did and he picked up a bunch of them. He is such a good little helper.

Jonah, me, my grandma Phyllis, grandma Siebert, and grandpa Siebert

This is the first time I have gone up to visit without the rest of my family since I was in fourth grade. It was so nice to be able to spend time with my grandparents without everyone else running around. My great grandparents are both over 90 years old and they both amaze me every time I see them. They are both still so active and healthy(Joe was shocked when I told him their ages). I am so lucky to have all three of these guys in my life and I am very lucky to be 28 and still have my great grandparents still alive. I am also glad that we were able to get up to Fresno the same time that my grandma Phyllis was going to be there, especially since she hadn't gotten to meet Jonah yet.

It looks like you had a good trip! You are very fortunate to have great grandparents still alive. I'm down to one grandparent total.
